The website is aimed at young girls and their mothers, aunties, grandmothers and other relatives who buy dolls clothes for children. The design is unashamedly pink and purple, with pretty flowers and rainbow colours, to appeal directly to the target market. The logo was redesigned to emphasise the name "Rosie", and Rosie's photo and hints/tips were added to the website to give a more personal face to the business.
The online store includes features to encourage sales and build customer relationships - wishlists, gift certificates, send to a friend, member sign-up, online games, and an e-marketing system for newsletters. Product pages have good quality photos in an image gallery, easy-to-read text, simple buttons and lots of helpful guidance.
The content management system (CMS) allows Rosies to export/import product data, manage orders and member lists, as well as adding or updating product details, news items and other page content via an easy-to-use online system.
